Seize the Moment is an innovative training program designed to equip individuals with the skills needed to thrive in today’s dynamic job market. Our skills development program offers three specialized streams: VR/AR Technology in the Skilled Trades, Mobile and Software Development, and Advanced Manufacturing.
In partnering with an industry leader like the Dream Legacy Foundation, which is renowned for its specialization in skilled trades and trades technology, we can provide cutting-edge workshops and hands-on placements.
This comprehensive approach ensures that participants not only gain theoretical knowledge but also practical experience, making them highly competitive in high-demand trades and industries across Ontario.

Determining your eligibility for the Seize the Moment program is the first step towards embarking on a transformative educational journey.
Our program is designed to be inclusive and supportive, ensuring that a diverse range of participants can benefit from our specialized training streams. Whether you are looking to break into the workforce, upskill, or pivot to a new career, we welcome individuals who are passionate about gaining practical experience and advanced skills in emerging technologies.
To ensure the best fit for our program, we have established specific eligibility criteria. These criteria help us focus our resources and support on those who can benefit most from our offerings. Review the criteria below to see if you meet the requirements and are ready to seize this opportunity for growth and development.
Criteria:
Location: Must reside in Southern Ontario.
Citizenship: Open to Canadian citizens, Permanent Residents, and individuals with a 900 series SIN and an open work permit.
Employment Status: Job seekers, current workers, and those at risk of job displacement.
Underrepresented Groups: Women, youth (15-29), justice-involved individuals, people with disabilities, Indigenous Peoples, racialized persons, landed immigrants or permanent residents.

The Brilliant Incubator accepts business ideas of any industry, type (for-profit or non-profit), and stage (ideation, MVP, etc).
The Brilliant Incubator is open to all Ontario Tech students, faculty and recent alumni.
- Access to mentors, and experienced entrepreneurs.
- Access to large network spanning across dozens of industries.
- Opportunities for funding
To be considered for the program, you must identify as an aspiring Creator4Change. A Creator4Change is an individual who embodies the convergence of innovation, conscious creation, and diverse perspectives to drive positive social transformation. Ideas should ideally be geared towards social change.
